Please go there, take a look and let us know what you think at PUBLIC WORKS COLORADO J O U R N A L NEWlogo_CPWJ:Layout 1 8/22/17 3:30 PM Page 2 WINTER 2023┃3 I always find it difficult returning to work after a holiday, when you have got used to lazy days of not doing too much and only intermittent thoughts of work, or checking email. One is never quite sure when people are fully back at work and when you can rely on getting a response from those you want to contact. And, the burning question, how many weeks into January can you continue to say Happy New Year to people? We have several new things coming in 2023, which we have done to enhance your relationship with us. If you are on social media be sure to connect with us on LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram, or even all three, for up to the minute news on our activities. With recruitment still being a major issue for all companies in our industry, CPWJ are launching a JOB BOARD on our website. This allows for our advertising partners to upload positions that they have available in varying categories pertaining to our workforce. Allowing the job seeker to search some criteria for something that is a good fit. If you know of someone, or even if you are looking for a new position yourself in 2023, you can go to the Job Board TAB and explore opportunities available with companies that you can trust, that have authentic openings. We believe this will be a valuable asset to our offerings and our mission to keep the industry connected. Go and try it out….. and let us know if you get hired. CPWJ always aims to reach the entire state, from the peaks to the plains in EVERY issue. So, we are calling for Public Works Officials and their teams to contact us with news in their region for us to publish and share with our readers. We are specifically interested in news in all the following areas: Personnel - New Hires, Promotions, Retirements, Awards Opportunities – Jobs, Upcoming Bids or Solicitations Projects – Awarded, Started, Completed, Formally Recognized Events – Community Engagements, Public Hearings of Note, etc. Starting with our SPRING issue there will be a dedicated page to host this information, entitled STATEWIDE News, so what are you waiting for? In this issue we feature the ACEC Awards which has been designed in a new format to focus just on the project details and imagery. We think this enhancement spotlights the awards in all their glory. As we start a new year we wanted to include our Media Kit so that everyone can see how to become an advertising partner and enjoy the benefits of brand exposure, community connections and knowledge with CPWJ. We are also proud to announce that we have had no price increases for 2023. CPWJ has a huge reach within the state of Colorado and we partner with many of the leading companies working in the infrastructure fields. If I, or a member of our team can help you in any way, please do reach out to us. We would be happy to answer any questions, or connect you with those who can. And…. dare I say it? Happy New Year!!
