WINTER 2023┃11 Works News P e o p l e Nicki Upright Retires from CDOT After 33 years working with CDOT, Project Manager Nicki Upright is retiring. Nicki started her career with CDOT working in design with Region 1. After 18 months she moved into construction management with Region 4 (Greeley) where she continued her career until December of 2022. Nicki is well known in the industry and has been on the committee of the Rocky Mountain Asphalt Conference & Equipment Show for several years. Nicki also helped to form the Colorado Branch of Women of Asphalt, where she currently holds the position of President. Nicki will be joining RockSol Consulting Group on March 1st, as Construction Manager III. CPWJ wish her well in her new role. Danielle Troncoso at Kiewit Danielle Troncoso is a Human Resources Business Partner for Kiewit – an experienced role that ensures strong collaboration between HR Shared Services, COE’s, and Business Unit teams. Transitioning from her previous role as Director of Administration, Danielle recently joined the Kiewit family 3 months ago. While she has spent the last decade working in the Denver construction market, she is delighted to expand her horizons with helping to support her teams across Canada & the US. Danielle has developed insight within the asphalt, concrete, trucking, and roofing industries. With her experience, Danielle has developed an intimate knowledge of construction operations & HR best practices. She is eager to transfer over her skillsets to Kiewit and provide value within her new team! Jody Randall Joins Lawrence Construction Co. Lawrence Construction Company has added Jody Randall to their leadership team as the Director of Business Strategy. This move comes on the eve of the company’s 100 year anniversary in 2024 inspiring the team re-calibrate for stronger growth in the next century. Randall is a 28 year veteran of the industry and has served in leadership roles throughout her career. She also served on the board of the Colorado Contractors Association. Ms. Randall is a graduate of Colorado State University and earned her MBA at the University of Colorado. Lawrence is a fifth generation heavy highway contractor specializing in alternative delivery projects, bridges, emergency repair work and deep foundations.
