The three mile stretch from University to I-25 was resurfaced using ½-inch SMA and 2 mill overlay to refinish the worn potholed road. Curb ramps were also brought up to the latest ADA standards. The team of 30 staff is growing and is ready to take on your next masonry project. “We've reached ten years in business and we couldn't be happier” says founder Christy Crook Atlas Agreement to Acquire Colorado Based WesTest Atlas Technical Consultants, Inc. leading provider of professional testing, inspec- tion, engineering, program management and consulting services, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire WesTest LLC a key provider of transportation-related materials testing and inspection services, headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado. WesTest has approximately 40 employ- ees, providing a wide range of materials testing, specification development, forensic engineering, geotechnical engineering and construction support services in Colorado. L. Joe Boyer, Atlas’ Chief Executive Officer, said, “We are excited to welcome WesTest to the Atlas family. The addition of WesTest will expand our testing and engineering capabilities in the rapidly growing Colorado region, where we can lay the groundwork to scale up our transportation and infrastructure services. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Brannan Staff Picnic Goes Ahead – Drive Through Style! On August 16th Brannan Sand & Gravel held their 24th annual staff picnic in the form of a drive thru. Between 11am and 2pm over 200 vehicles drove to the dif- ferent canopied stations set out in the parking lot. Everyone who attended wore masks and remained in their vehicle as they stopped by each of the 4 stations that were offering; Free T-shirts for all family members, a Raffle Entry for prizes to take home such as TV’s, a Chromebook, a tablet and cash. One station was designated to the Annual Safety Award Winners, who were presented to in person with their certificates and gifts. Another station recognised employees with their annual service awards. “Despite COVID 19 we were determined to do something fun for our employees” said Megan Strong. Gerardo Orozco and I planned and co-ordinated the day and everyone had a great time”
