Spring-Summer 2019 47 The great companies today are realizing the importance of a strong and intentional culture. They invest in their culture and take ownership. They are being rewarded with better talent that stay with their company much longer than the average tenure, and as a result see bottom-line results that are growing. So the question is: what is your company’s culture product? Is it built for the type of talent you want? If you aren’t getting the quality of talent you’d hope for or keeping the employees you want, the answer is probably no. It’s time to create a vision and direction for your culture. It’s time to make your culture your greatest competitive advantage. And the time is now. Every company needs to rethink who they are in this new world. Relying on how things were 5 or 10 years ago won’t carry you into the future. Just ask Blockbuster. Make these changes before it’s too late. Don’t be the Blockbuster of your industry. Decide to create your own future and success. Interested in learning more or creating a culture vision built for today’s world for you company?
